Contracted by Ticketmaster, the world’s largest ticketing marketplace, to assist in the evolution of the Ticketmaster payments platform. Consultants were expected to be self-starters and integrate seamlessly into the existing team. The project was to replace the legacy payment system in over thirty markets with a modern solution stack, keeping a keen focus on iterative design, implementation, testing, and robust well-tested components. Shared ownership, transparency, mutual cooperation, and weekly opportunities to demo to the wider teams were all key parts of the development cycle.

As a member of the core frontend team, typical tasks included test-driven feature development, and bug fixing for their multi-platform, multi-lingual, multi-market payment portal and ancillary services, as well as mentoring developers and coordinating frontend builds from fruition to deployment.

Expert knowledge of the follow tech stack was required: Vite, React, Hooks, Redux, Redux toolkit, Sagas, Generators, Typescript, Javascript, Styled-components, Tailwind, Storybook, Gitlab, CI/CD, Vitest, React testing library, Playwright, Wiremock, and APIs including Adyen, Nuvei, Braintree, Paypal, and ApplePay.
