 I am a Front-end Web Developer based in Richmond, London specializing in elegant User Interface Design and Development. I build clean, appealing, and functional interfaces which comply with the latest web standards. My background is technical with strong skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery), Ajax, Java, WebObjects, Linux, MySQL etc. I am happy to forward a CV upon request.
Typically I work along side a professional designer coding sites with HTML, CSS, jQuery, and a lot of Usability, Accessibility, and Web Standards. I have worked on a number of the world's largest sites including those run by BBC, FT and LexisNexis.
Currently i am working for EHS 4D Digital agency developing global websites. EHS 4D Digital are part of Euro RSCG Worldwide and Havas Group and deliver the full spectrum of digital concepting, design and build. Initially hired as a Senior client-side developer to work specifically on Jaguar projects, primary responsibilities included building first class, progressively enhanced, standards compliant, multi-platform (adaptive) and compatible templates for the global CMS.
The position requires exceptional programming with 10+ years’ experience (where applicable) in native browser technologies including HTML 4/5, CSS 2/3, hand-coded JavaScript, jQuery or other compatible libraries, and Photoshop CS4/5. In addition the role demands an ability to give accurate estimations of development times for projects, and organise your time to meet project deliverables and deadlines.
As the client-side techical lead tasks also include managing SCRUM teams of up to five full-time/freelance developers and ensuring continuous high standards of coding and design. As well as maintaining a hands on role especially in regards to AJAX-powered applications, social (OpenGraph) and the mobile web, an increasing requirement of the position includes collaborating with designers and UX specialists to plan and deliver innovative solutions for our clients.
As well as working hard I like to play hard having travelled to almost 50 countries. I am completing a BA (Hons) in Modern Language which has taught me Spanish and advanced linguistics. I love sports, music and of course technology.
